ABOUT ME

Hey there! I'm Megan Spargo, the Coach's Wife. Coach and I met in college where we were both athletes. In the fall of 2023, we had our 20th consecutive football season together. In those 20 years we also grew a family adding 3 athlete daughters to the mix, which are currently in grades 6, 8 and 10.

Sports continue to play a huge role in our lives.  From August into November, Coach's focus goes to football, which, if you are a coach's wife- football is an all-encompassing word. If you are a football parent- God Bless You!

The girls go into volleyball, one in junior high and one in high school. November through February or March is all basketball, and March through May is track and maybe some club volleyball. Summer is off-season practices, weights, maybe some summer track and/or club ball.

The Coach's wife is a place for personal development, cultivating strong and healthy relationships, and finding joy in household management for my people whose life revolves around sports.

I have learned how this lifestyle can offer a goldmine for personal growth and skill building those ripples into all parts of life. I have picked up helpful skills and perspectives that are specific to Sports families.

We're always coordinating schedules, experiencing the emotional highs and lows of winning and losing. We're dealing with so many dynamics- relationships in our family, The dynamics between coaches and players, the dynamics between teammates. We're coming to terms with disappointing injuries, we're goal setting, defining dedication and balance- and as parents, learning to distinguish our dreams from those of our children.

We unapologetically value athletics here. Through participating, coaching, and parenting athletes- our family has been able to take challenges associated with sports and grow individually as well as together. Sports is the avenue we use to help us become the best version of ourselves.

About Me:

I live in a small, small town in Nebraska. I love hanging out with my best friends, watching funny TV, a good psychic reading, and I strongly identify with my astrological chart and enneagram number (7). I have a decent crystal collection, follow the mood cycles and like to meditate with my bare feet touching the earth,  as well as a fancy craft cocktail. I have what some may consider a codependent relationship with my overweight dog, El Bell.

My health and the health of my family is a priority. 70 percent of the time we do okay. We make most of our own meals and try to stick with whole foods. I like to listen to hip-hop while I run, and I may lift weights and do yoga from time to time.

I think personal development work is the foundation of all the good things in my life. I'm here to support women like me dive into this work through my podcast, weekly emails, 1:1 coaching, courses and retreats.
